Josh Harder, a fifth-generation resident of California’s Central Valley, is running to represent California’s Tenth Congressional District. Harder faces Republican incumbent Rep. Jeff Denham.

Josh began his career as a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group. During this time, he took a leave of absence to organize small farmers in Kenya and Uganda with the Gates Foundation and other nonprofit organizations.

Today he is the vice president of Bessemer Venture Partners, which works to grow small businesses. Josh was on the team that successfully helped to grow Blue Apron, a company that delivers ingredients and recipes to busy households, into a multi-billion-dollar company.

Josh argues that, “Diplomacy is the most effective tool in our arsenal. I support engagement before military action.”

The Cook Political Report considers this race extremely competitive. It is an even district.
