Ashley Ehasz is challenging so-called moderate Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, an anti-choice Republican who prevailed after a primary challenge from the right earlier this year. This district includes Bucks County, which is the swingiest county in Pennsylvania, and encompasses the northern suburbs of Philadelphia.
This is a rematch of the 2022 race, where Ehasz outperformed the previous opponent by 3.5%, despite possessing less than 18% of the resources. Ehasz hopes to build on her 2022 race and operation to flip this seat in 2024. President Joe Biden carried the district by five points and the Harris campaign has four offices across the district, showing significant investment in the district up and down the ticket.
Ehasz is a West Point graduate and former Apache helicopter pilot who grew up in Southeastern Pennsylvania. She was the only woman in her Apache class. After leaving the Army, she used the G.I. Bill to get a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford. During the pandemic, she worked as a policy writer and project coordinator to implement the CARES Act for county government and now serves as a government and public service sector consultant.
Ehasz knows firsthand what is at stake for our servicemembers and has no issue standing up for national security policy that will address 21st century challenges.
