After interning with the Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation and Council for a Livable World in the summer of 2018, Abby Pokraka rejoined the staff of the Center and Council in 2019 as a Program Assistant, then became a Research Analyst. When she’s not helping manage the Council’s meetings schedule, Board relations and events, she focuses on her research interests in chemical and biological weapons, and nuclear arms control.
Prior to working at the Council, Abby completed a Master of Arts in Political Science at the University of New Hampshire. Her graduate thesis questioned the role international regimes have on nuclear disarmament. Abby received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Security Studies from the University of New Hampshire in 2017.
