Anna Schumann is the Communications Director for the Council for a Livable World. Previously, she was the Communications Manager for the Association of Government Accountants, responsible for email strategy, social media, public relations and writing and editing. She has worked as an Editor for SmartBrief, managing the production of 13 email newsletters, and was a newspaper and online reporter in Houston.
Schumann holds bachelor’s degrees in journalism and political science from Texas Tech University. Her professional passion has always been at the intersection of policy and communications, and articulating how policy affects people.
Schumann is a member of the National Capital Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America; the National Press Club, and the Junior League of Howard County. In her free time, she watches pro baseball and college football, and enjoys exploring all the beauty and history in the mid-Atlantic region.
