Monica Montgomery is the Advocacy Coordinator for the Council for a Livable World, where her work focuses on building Congressional champions for nuclear arms control and non-proliferation and a reduced Pentagon budget, and on electing Members of Congress who share these goals.
Prior to joining the Council, Monica worked as the Program Assistant for Nuclear Disarmament and Pentagon Spending at the Friends Committee on National Legislation. She has also previously worked as a research and office assistant at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies and as an intern at the Arms Control Association and in the district office of former Senator Bob Corker.
Monica graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in political science and peace studies and a certificate in international security studies. She was awarded the Yarrow Award in Peace Studies, given annually to a graduating student who demonstrates academic excellence and a commitment to peace and justice.
