Legislative Scorecard

CLW is currently not producing legislative scorecards, but we may do so again in the future.

Our methodology for scoring is as follows. The total score is an average of all votes or actions for which that individual member was scored.

Symbol	Meaning
+	Member of Congress (MOC) voted or took an action in line with the Council’s position.
–	MOC voted or took an action in opposition to the Council’s position.
DNV	MOC was in office but not physically present to vote—Counts the same as “-.”
	MOC was not in office at the time of vote or letter. This was not counted against them in their total score.
N/A	MOC action was not counted for or against them in scoring because they did not have the opportunity to take the action. For example, if there was a letter organized only for Republican signature, that letter is only scored for Republicans—and vice-versa for Democrat-only letter signing opportunities.
