In 2018, Dirksen Londrigan came within less than one percentage point of unseating incumbent Rep. Rodney Davis (50.4% to 49.6%). We think she can build on that close call to a strong victory in 2020.
She already has some 2,000 volunteers and had 43,000 individual donors from last cycle to build upon, and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has already put a dedicated organizer on the ground in district.
Before running for Congress, Dirksen Londrigan worked as a Corps Member with Teach for America and as a non-profit leader in her community. Since her son’s near-fatal illness, she and her family have worked to raise awareness of the importance of children’s hospitals and affordable healthcare.
Dirksen Londrigan believes in halting the Trump administrations dangerous new push for smaller and “more usable” nuclear weapons. She supports a diplomacy-first approach to Iran and North Korea, and thinks that leaving the Iran nuclear deal was destabilizing and irresponsible.
She needs our help to flip this district, and we are proud to endorse her.
