President Trump made history in June 2018 when he took the unorthodox step of becoming the first sitting U.S. president to meet with a North Korean leader. Multiple meetings between the two leaders have yet to yield any substantive results, but there is no military solution for dealing with North Korea’s nuclear program.
That is why Council for a Livable World believes that YES, we support continued diplomacy with North Korea with the goal of negotiating the eventual denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
