Less than two weeks

Friend,

In less than two weeks, congressional candidates face one of the most critical deadlines of the election cycle. June 30 marks the deadline for the crucial second Federal Election Commission fundraising deadline of 2018.

This fundraising report provides an important measure of the shape of the Senate campaigns of candidates we have endorsed for progressive national security.

Political experts and campaign committees are watching, and we need to help our candidates prove the strength of their campaigns for November. Will you support our candidates before the deadline and help them win these crucial races?

Today, I’d like to point you to four Senate candidates who are strong supporters of diplomatic solutions to key national security challenges we face and who are in extremely tight races.

Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) has a perfect record on Council issues. Hawks have poured more money into defeating her than any other candidate so far.

Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) is a popular candidate in his state — but the state ultimately voted for President Trump. This seat is a must-keep for progressives.

Representative Jacky Rosen (D-NV) is going up against Senator Dean Heller, who is seen as the most vulnerable incumbent. But Rosen’s fight for the seat won’t be easy.

Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) won his seat in 2006 and 2012 by close margins, and faces tough competition in 2018 as well. Because of President Trump’s popularity in the state, Tester is a top target.

Please consider giving to any or all of these candidates. Our shot at pushing forward progressive national security will rely on these seats.

Thank you for your help in these crucial races.

Sincerely,

John Tierney
