Why give through us

Friend,

We know you may get many emails from groups like ours asking you to donate to candidates who need your help, and we are infinitely grateful that you support us and progressive national security.

I wanted to take a moment to tell you why it’s important to give, and give through us.

Campaigns and candidates make a special note when donations are made from a number of people asserting interest in specific policies — and it helps them identify the priorities of supporters. Once elected, those who you supported in the name of progressive national security policies will hopefully continue to prioritize progressive national security, but in Congress, it will make it easier for them to make tough decisions knowing they have so many supporters behind them. Practically speaking as well, they likely will be more inclined to not just vote, but to speak out and lead on such issues.

When you give to campaigns at all, it makes a difference. When you give to campaigns through us, you throw the weight of the progressive national security community behind your dollar.

And right now, I’m asking you to support Jason Crow and Joe Neguse, who both handily won their respective primaries in Colorado earlier this week.

On behalf of all of us at the Council and all of our endorsed candidates, we sincerely thank you for your support.

Thank you for your involvement in this critical election.

Sincerely,

John Tierney
