How’s this for a confidence boost?
Stan Greenberg and James Carville of Democracy Corps just announced that, “Democrats are more likely to hold control of the U.S. Senate than not.”
And that’s just the beginning.
Rick Weiland (D-SD), we received some game-changing news: polls are now showing a remarkably close contest. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, which had not invested in this campaign before, just announced that it will spend $1 million on his race. In an unpredictable four-way race, they believe he’s got a strong chance of scoring an upset.
When we first endorsed Weiland, he said: “The Council believes the light of America’s freedom shines brightest to the world when it’s not obscured by the fog of war, and so do I.”
Weiland is back in the game. Will you help get him into the winner’s circle?
And the woman who had the guts to challenge Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Alison Lundergan Grimes (D-KY) is pulling ahead. Two recent polls, one by Bluegrass and one by the highly accurate Mark Mellman, have Grimes leading by two percentage points. It’s not a big lead by any means, however, and you can bet Mitch is sweating and will enlist the Koch Brothers to launch renewed attacks on Grimes.
Want to see Alison pull way ahead of Mitch McConnell? Give to her campaign today.
This week gave rays of hope to two of our top candidates—but they’re still underdogs. They need your support to come out on top in November and to save the Senate.
Thanks for your help!
