Council PeacePAC Endorses Hall, Murphy, and Sestak in 2008

Council for a Livable World’s PeacePAC today announced its endorsement of three candidates running for reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2008: John Hall (D-NY-19), Patrick Murphy (D-PA-8), and Joe Sestak (D-PA-7).

Senator Hart, General Gard, General Johns Call for Iraq Withdrawal

Council for a Livable World released today a statement responding to this week’s congressional testimony by General David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker. President Bush is expected to endorse Petraeus and Crocker’s policy recommendations in a prime time speech later this evening.

Presidential Candidates Respond to Seven Key National Security Questions

Council for a Livable World submitted seven critical questions on national security issues to all declared presidential candidates from both parties. Joseph Biden, Hillary Clinton, Christopher Dodd, John Edwards, Barack Obama, and Bill Richardson responded to the Council’s questionnaire. Their responses exhibited noteworthy unity while differing on some important details.
