In support of Senator Barbara Boxer, I’m posting an email for her campaign’s goal of raising $500,000 by the September 30 fundraising deadline, what might be called a “Goldenbomb.” I hope you’ll support Barbara by making a contribution.
Boxer is in a tough race this year against a wealthy businesswoman and she needs our help. Her opponent, Carly Fiorina, is spending millions of dollars making negative personal attacks, and the corporate special interests supporting her are willing to spend whatever it takes to win in November.

As you may know, this year I am facing one of the toughest races ever.
My opponent, Carly Fiorina, is traveling up and down the state launching negative attacks. She’s already poured more than $5 million of her own personal wealth into her campaign — in addition to millions of dollars in attack ads coming from Karl Rove, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, National Right to Life, and other right-wing special interest groups.
But I have something that’s much more powerful than any of our right-wing opponents: grassroots supporters like you in California and across the country.
Will you stand with me now?
On issue after issue — creating jobs, defending a woman’s right to choose, fighting climate change, protecting our beautiful coast, ending two wars, fighting for equality and justice, and so many other important issues — the choice couldn’t be clearer in this election.
I know that we will win if the people of California learn about the clear choice before them. But to get our message out, I need your help today.
The critical September 30 end-of-quarter fundraising deadline is only days away. We’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal of $500,000 before midnight Thursday to send a powerful signal to the press, the pundits, and our opponents about the strength of our grassroots support — and to give our campaign an important boost of resources heading into the homestretch.
But we can’t reach this important goal without your help.
Thank you so much for standing with me. I couldn’t do it without you.
