Harkin to get national peace and human rights award
Iowa’s Democratic U.S. senator, Tom Harkin, will receive an award tonight for his efforts to increase the health and wellness of all Americans and to improve the nation’s education system.
Harkin will get the Father Robert F. Drinan National Peace and Human Rights Award from the Council for a Livable World, Council for a Livable World’s PeacePAC and the Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation, according to a news release.
